During ASM, students were asked to participate in all school bonding game, which led to an Urban themed trivia competition, which featured questions like “Which Urban teacher was a division 1 soccer goalie in college?” Answer: history teacher, Brooke Roberts. After eight rounds of trivia, the two remaining teams competed in a dance off, which was judged by applause. English teacher, Jonathan Howland won the dance off for his team by dancing to Teach Me How to Dougie by Cali Swag District.

After ASM, students broke off into their activities.

Winterfest has existed in some capacity since Urban stopped running an all school trip in 1995. According to Charlotte Worsley, Dean of Students, the day was originally called “Diversity Day.” Students would participate in community service and learn about service learning. Student Committee took over the day in 2008, and developed the Winter Festival we know today One aspect of the day has always remained the same: “The plan has been to to bring the school together and create community,” said Worsley.
