On Monday, May 9, Jason Cinti (’12) competed in the North Coast Section (NCS) golf tournament at Rooster Run Golf Course in Petaluma. Cinti qualified by shooting a 77 at the BCL Championship at Harding Park Golf Course last Thursday. He was the only Urban student to qualify, and represented Urban as an individual competitor. Athletes from 26 different high schools from around Northern California were represented, including members from Marin Academy, Lick Wilmerding and Stuart Hall. Cinti shot a 78 yesterday, merely 5 strokes behind the leader. “I am very proud of my performance yesterday, next year I hope our whole team can qualify and tear up the competition,” Cinti said. Urban golf season is over for this year but Cinti plans on continuing his passion for golf during the summer.
